Capcom has shared Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo data which shows that over 1.3 million players played the game which was released couple of days ago. Resident Evil 2 releases January 25, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows only.
The Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo data collection was part of permissions where players enabled RE NET Play Data settings. It allowed Capcom to track the number of players who actively enabled the option and played a whole 30 minutes of Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo.
The data also shows that demo was most played in North America with 300,667 players. Asia lags right behind North America with a total 296,035 number of players who played Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo.
Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo data also reveals that overall only 28% of the players were able to complete the demo stage. 30 minutes is pretty short time and many players who completed the demo did it in second playthrough. Capcom did not allow access of demo above 30 minutes, however, players can access the demo from their secondary accounts.
Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo allowed players to experience a limited set of events in the game only for 30 minutes. The whole gameplay required an active internet connection to be played and it tracked the data accordingly.
Capcom in a recent tweet mentioned a new version of story of Leon Kennedy. In the original Resident Evil 2 game, Leon Kennedy’s story starts with him reporting late at Raccoon city police station. His side of story for being late was that his girlfriend left him and he spent a great amount of time at a bar, drinking as much alcohol as possible and he passed out for a longer time.
The tweet from official Resident Evil (Capcom) account states an altered version of Leon Kennedy’s story. The tweet mentions his story that Leon was waiting at home with an order just before the appointment date. However, he lost contact with police station and he decided to go to Raccoon city and visit the police station. He arrives in the city and finds it overrun by zombies.
